Life Purpose

STUDY GUIDE

“Until your desire to become you matches God’s desire for you to become you, you will never become who God intended you to be”

How passionate are you to see God’s purposes come to fruition in your life?

How aggressively are you pursuing the knowledge of God and His will for your life?

How desperate are you to locate that for which your life
has been called upward in Christ (Phil 3:12)?

Are you “pressing towards the goal to win the prize to which Christ Jesus is calling you upward?”

You will never see your potential maximized until there is a grabbing hold of destiny in your heart. You will never become the you God intended until you get serious about knowing Him and knowing His will. Jesus said that “the violent take the kingdom by force”

(Matt 11:12).

This violence is similar to the aggressiveness of a baby in the birth canal that is ready to start living life. You have got to mean business about serving the purposes of God in this generation, and get your priorities in line if you want to find that life that gives significance.

Chapter 19

Master Keys

1. What does your name mean? Is there any spiritual significance associated with your name as to nature, character or calling?

2. Do a genogram on past and present influences, both positive and negative? Make sure you bring both before the Lord and sanctify them for His use.

3. Write the vision down by bringing to remembrance specific scriptures, prophetic words, impacting quotations, or dreams that have had a marked influence upon your life. Don’t despise or discard them: they often are for a time and a season.

4. What individual has had the greatest influence upon your life, either living or dead? What biblical figure has impacted you the most? What person of history triggered your heart and caused you to look to them as an example, maybe even a mentor? If they are alive, do they know?

5. What book subject dominates your library? They are a key to the calling and purpose of God for your life.

6. Where does your passion lie? Your joy, your anger, your discouragement, your compassion….

7. Have you completed the last thing God spoke to you to act upon? Were you faithful?

8. Have you evaluated your unique gifts, talents, skill set? Write them down: physical, emotional, attitudinal, moral, social and spiritual strengths. Make a list, and consecrate them to God for His use. Excel in their development so that glory can go to Him when they are put into use for His purposes.

9. Are you honoring God with your finances? Lack of resources does not determine what God can do through you: He is watching your stewardship of the small in readiness for the large.
